A long, hot and great weekend

Well we went from winter to summer! I personally love the heat. I'd much rather be hot than cold.

Saturday morning started out at 8 am at the baseball field. Jordan had a play off game at 9. We had a big cooler full of cold water and Gatorade and we were all sunscreened up. They played against the Rangers, which is a really rough team. They won! They beat them 7 - 5. Jordan played a good game. He's really coming along. We are now in the Championship game Wednesday night. If we win, the Muckdogs are champs. If we lose, it goes to Thursday night.

After Jordan's game, we went and picked up James. We took him to his football games. They won both games. The first game was really great. The second game was even better. James was captain of the second game which I think is why he scored two touchdowns!! He did great. Jamie gave him some great tips at the one game he was able to make and you can tell he remembers them. It was a great season.

Then we came home and vegged out. The kids wanted to go to the pool but I told them I think we all had had enough of the heat for one day.

So that leads to Sunday. I did a little grocery shopping in the morning and then after lunch, we went to the pool. We only lasted about two hours though. I burned my legs pretty bad on Saturday but didn't want to miss out on going to the pool with Jamie and the kids.

When we got home, Jamie fired up the grill. He grilled burgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob! YUMMY! After that, the kids had more ice cream. I had gotten these really cool M&M shaped ice creams on a stick. I forgot to get pictures of that. Then they wanted watermelon.

It was a great weekend!

This week is going to be another hot and busy week! Jasmine has gymnastics tonight. Jordan has baseball Wednesday and possibly Thursday. I'm getting a DVD player installed in the van on Wednesday. Friday, we are going to the mountains. Saturday, my cousin is getting married and we are going to the wedding. It's going to be a great week!
