Relay for Life walk

Last night, the kids and I had the American Cancer Society Relay for Life walk. Our team, Just Us, was started by my parents' next door neighbor, Mrs. Poindexter. She lost her husband a few years ago to cancer. Mr. Poindexter is a man I have known since I was 10 years old. A great man. Someone that will always be missed. He always loved seeing Jordan when he was little and that is someone that is very special to Jordan.

We also walk in memory of my Papa, John Schneider. Papa passed away January 20, 2003 from cancer as well.

Both of these men are men that everyone that met them, loved them. They are truly missed each and every day.

The kids and I also walked in memory of another man, John Wellington. While we didn't know him, one of my friend's Sara does. John just passed away recently and from what I know, he is another great man that will be missed each and every day.

We also walked in honor of a little boy, named Isaac Lally. My friend, Tracy ~ her next door neighbor and best friend, Steph is the mother of this wonderful little boy who is fighting hard against Medulloblastoma.

Cancer doesn't care about age, gender, race or religion. It affects so many people and their families. We walked last night to remember those we have lost and honor those that are fighting it.

My two walkers that made it to 3 am walking, dancing and being proud members of the team! I'm so proud of them!

Thank you to everyone that donated on our behalf. We truly appreciate the support!
