We had a super fun new year. Party hats, noise makers, sparkling Cherry 7-Up and confetti. Yes, you read that right. Confetti. Real confetti. A dear family member (that I just recently meant yet I felt as if I've known her forever and she means the world to me) opened my eyes to realizing they are only kids once and long after the confetti is cleaned up, the kids, Jamie and I will just remember the fun we had and not the mess. Well maybe how much fun the mess was making.
I took a ton of pictures of the kids counting down and ringing in the new year with confetti flying all over my living room. For some dang reason, they were not on the camera. I really was crushed. I did get a few of them cheesing together though.

Confetti angels!
Yes, I promptly vacuumed this up but I wasn't nearly annoyed with it as I thought I would be.
My precious babies ~ Jaylynn was fast asleep in her crib and didn't make it to midnight
Yup, that's more like it.
I don't do resolutions. I just strive to be a better person and do things better. This year, I just want to slow down, enjoy my children and chill out. I want to remember that the kids can't learn from their mistakes if they don't make any. I want to be a better blogger ~ if for no other reason than to make this online time capsule for the kids. I want to be offline more. I want to read more books with my kids (and some without). I want to learn to knit. I want to sew more. I just want to be a happy, healthy family more this year.
Happy New Year! May your 2010 be blessed, happy and healthy!
What a fun New Years!!! You know me...I would have had a breakdown with all the confetti, lol.
