Opening Day for the Giants

Jacob had his first T-ball game yesterday. He was sooooo excited. Daddy, Jasmine and Jenna took Jacob early to get his uniform while I took James and a teammate to the field for their game (they have to be there 2 hours before their game so it actually worked out nice that we wouldn't miss either game).

Jacob plays for the Giants, sponsored by Chic-Fil-A (YUM!) and got #5.

Be prepared for a lot of pictures. Daddy takes a lot and there are just too many cute ones to not share them all.

Running to second and leading off on second

On third, ready to go home. This is how he leads off on third. Not sure why but maybe this will be his signature move in the MLB one day?

Telling the 3rd baseman to throw it home

They are really sponsored by Chic-Fil-A. The kids with the other sponsor played with the same coach last spring and just wore their old jerseys.

Run Bubba!!

OK, now we do this on all the bases...

It was a lot of fun watching the t-ballers play. You never know how it's going to go at this age. Most knew what to do. Lots of great hitters on the team. Jacob figured out if he batted last, he would get to run all the bases instead of having to stop at each base between batters. So he put himself last. No one noticed. Smart little guy he is. We are going to have to work on that he can't play all the positions at the same time. Although I guess when one of your team mates in playing in the dirt, someone has to cover their position. At the beginning of each inning, the coach would ask for volunteers to be different positions and Bubba was always the first raising his hand, getting right in there.

Jacob will tell you his team won 10-9 so I guess we had a victory the first week!
