The Blizzard of February 2010

The blizzard dumped snow on us. I mean dumped. I think we got 27 inches are something like that during the first round (Feb. 5th-6th) with another 2 feet during the second round (Feb. 9th-10th). I've seen enough snow to last a lifetime. As much as I dislike sand, I do love the beach and right now, even sand is appealing to me. At least sand isn't cold. At least sand doesn't make you feel claustrophobic. At least sand doesn't keep you stuck in the house forever and a day.

It's taken me this long to finally see grass outside and that there may be a day where there is no snow outside again. I despise the snow. Sure, it's pretty in a huge field with trees at one end. Yes, it's gorgeous when it's falling. What is not pretty is the huge 4 ft snow piles in my front yard. Being stuck in the house for a week is not fun either.

I did go out long enough to get pictures of the kiddos out in the snow. They really had a great time in the snow. I guess every kid needs one good snow storm and the fun playing in it to remember. For the memories, I guess the blizzard were OK. But that's it. I'm done. See ya in another ten years!

Super early Saturday morning

Jamie out shoveling with the thought "What the heck is the point?"

The deck

Can you spot Daddy and Bear?

Still coming down...

The big guns come out to shovel!

Here's a crazy person getting out from all of it. Oh wait, that's Jamie! *sigh* He just had to get out and see how the roads were. He did bring back Cokes so I guess it was worth the trip.

Saturday night ~ I think he was sort of done shoveling.

Playing on Sunday

Two pretty shots of Jazzi

Neat picture of Jazzi throwing a snow ball at me.

Is she not one of the prettiest girls you have ever seen? The others being Jenna and Jaylynn, of course.

The Igloo

Daddy and the kids built an Igloo. Daddy did most of the work but the kids helped.

Did you notice that? Yes, Jamie can fit in it. We don't mess around here at the Combs house. If you are going to build an igloo, build a dang igloo.

The second round of snow getting dumped on us on the 9th of Feburary.

I gave up taking pictures of the snow. I just couldn't take it anymore. I feel claustrophobic with snow. I can go all week without leaving my neighborhood and I'm perfectly content with that. But being told, by the weather, that I can't, well that just makes me crazy. I don't drive in the snow. I don't handle it well. I get anxious and freak out and it's just best if I don't drive.

So that is the Blizzard of February 2010. Come on Spring!
