She wouldn't answer my questions asking her if she stuck something up there. She just cried and cried. Upon a flashlight, held down investigation, it was apparent that Jenna had something up her nose. I couldn't really tell what it was. It looked like a pistachio which Jacob, Jenna and I had been munching on earlier. I attempted to use my fingernail to get it out which I'm sure is probably the worst thing to do but you do what you do in the moment. Her nose did start bleeding a teeny bit. Jasmine got me a tissue. For grins and giggles, I had Jenna blow her nose. I was hoping she'd at least just move it up some making it easier for me to get out. Well she said "oh Mommy, my nose feels better." So I looked in the tissue and what do I find....a balled up piece of tissue. *sigh* I asked her why she did it and she said in the sweetest voice "I don't know". I asked her if she would ever do it again and she of course said no.
Here's a lovely picture of the tissue and just to give you some perspective, sized up next to a dime.
I am pretty sure you can check back here in a few weeks to see what she decides to stick up there next.
For now, here's a list.
1) Bead
2) Tissue
I am so glad my kids have not taken to shoving things up their nose. *knocking on wood really hard!
