Life is definitely different without Papa around. I don't know how many times Jamie has said "I need to call Dad" when something happened. We all miss him so much. Everytime chicken is on sale, I think to call and tell him. Everytime I make a package of hot dogs, I think of him. If you knew Richard, you know what I'm talking about.
We did have some great news during the month though. We became an uncle and aunt again. Steven and Joanna welcomed Hope Olivia to their family on June 20th. She weighed in at an even 8 lbs. She is a sweetie pie although missing the dark hair everyone thought she'd have. We sure wish they were closer so we could visit more.
The school year finished on the 14th. The kids were so happy to welcome summer as am I. I love them being home. I'm probably one of the few moms that doesn't enjoy the first day of school. I really wish the kids were home all the time. They all had a great year. Jordan ended the year with straight A's. James and Jasmine both finished with high marks (they don't receive letter grades yet).
We are looking to the summer and enjoying the warm weather and getting outdoors.
